While I am located right outside of Boston, MA, I work virtually and “meet” with people from all over the world for coaching. For therapy, I am licensed in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
For corporate and group coaching, I meet virtually and am available for travel.
I get this question a lot and decided to add it here. We can talk about it more if the information below doesn’t answer your questions.
Therapy is great if you are dealing with emotional or relational concerns, things from your past that need some time and attention, or coping with various feelings and emotions that may be getting in the way such as depression or anxiety or having experienced trauma. While some believe that coaching is action-oriented and therapy is coping-oriented, I like to combine both action and coping in my therapy practice. I believe that forward movement and resolution is something that we all seek in life whether it’s through coaching or therapy.
Coaching is where we partner to work on areas where you would like to achieve clarity and forward movement. Whether it is personal, professional, or both- we work together to define what it is you want and create a plan to get you there.
There are some similarities between Life Coaching and Executive Coaching, like helping individuals identify their goals, develop action plans, and hold themselves accountable, there are also vast differences.
Life Coaching focuses on personal development and could include areas of relationships, personal growth, self-esteem, work-life balance, life transitions, and setting and achieving goals.
Executive Coaching focuses on professional development and could include areas of leadership skills, self-awareness, career growth, and performance.
Yes! In both areas, the goal is to help make changes in specific areas of your life. We work to understand self-limiting beliefs and/or behaviors with the ultimate goal of helping you to grow, change, and live a fulfilling life.
The length of coaching or therapy depends less on time and more on engagement. When clients show up with curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to apply what we explore between sessions, meaningful change often happens more efficiently than expected. My approach is focused and intentional, with the goal of helping you build insight and tools you can continue using independently.
